Roll of Honor
It is a distinct and special honor to be named by one’s Society to the Roll of Honor. Each Society President works with her board of managers to identify and approve worthy individuals in their society whose sustained service, dedicated leadership and devotion to the ideals of the NSCDA has gone above beyond the ordinary. Each honoree is entitled to wear the unique Roll of Honor Pin.
The Roll of Honor book is a beautiful dark blue leather volume, exquisitely tooled in gold. The parchment pages are engrossed in black India ink each year, by State, with the names of the new honorees. The book is safely kept at Dumbarton House in the Archives. It is too valuable to be handled on a daily basis. During the Biennial Council, it is brought out and displayed in the front hall at Dumbarton House.
