Scheduled to reopen in the fall of 2026 following a major $68 million revitalization designed by Hiroshi Sugimoto, the revamped space will house the Hirshhorn Collection, featuring landmark modern and contemporary sculptures. The 1.4-acre site will offer enhanced accessibility, a larger reflecting pool with a central stage, and improved spaces for large-scale modern art, performances, and public education.
